Capstone Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Program at SUNY Stony Brook

-- Aiding Children with Disabilities through Total Design

  The objective of this program is to provide undergraduate engineering students at the State University of New York at Stony Brook with significant senior design experience through designing and developing assistive devices to aid people with disabilities.

Congratulations!

The student project titled "All-Terrain Robotic Base" has won the third prize at the 2011 ASME Student Robot Design Competition (undergraduate category) held in Washington DC, USA during 2011 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences

 

The student project titled "Design of a device for raising, lowering, and transporting a disabled individual with limited lower body strength" has won the first prize at the 2010 ASME Student Mechanism Competition (undergraduate category) held in Montreal, Canada during 2010 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences
