CAE/FEM Tools.

The lab is equipped with following commercial Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools:

1. ABAQUS

Version 6.3 to Version 6.6 are  available in lab for doing Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations.

2. I-DEAS

Version 9.0 is running in the lab.

Writing code for solving problems using FEM is an inalienable part of research in Computational Mechanics. For this purpose the work stations are equipped with following programming languages: 

1. Microsoft Visual C++

2. Compaq Visual Fortran 6.0

In addition to that, following supplementary software tools useful in plotting graphs of desirable entities   from mammoth data generated by CAE tools are available in the lab:

1. Sigma Plot 8.0

2. Tecplot 8.0

The Lab has adequate number of workstation's running on Window's XP and Unix Operating systems.
