Research Interests and History
Foluso Ladeinde's research focuses on the development of theoretical
and specialized computational techniques for the solution of model problems
in high-speed aerodynamics. Combustion, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
in aerospace propulsion systems are the application areas. Since about
a decade he has been developing advanced computational techniques, including
those that execute in parallel supercomputers. Ladeinde is a member
of the multi-university AFOSR/DARPA Consortium for Crystal Growth. He
has published more than 70 referenced and archival journal papers, many
of which are on combustion, direct and large eddy simulation of turbulence,
and turbulence modeling. Ladeinde's research is funded by NSF, AFOSR,
DARPA, and commercial industries. He is a member of the Board of Directors
of Brooklyn Technical High School and current member and past Chairman
of the External Review Board of the NASA Center for Aerospace Research
at the North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro. Ladeinde is a member
of the American Physical Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers
and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and
Astronautics.
